The SCAHT AOP_HUB is an online platform for researchers dedicated to advancing Adverse Outcome Pathway (AOP) development. We meet once a month online to exchange experience for AOP development.

Currently, there is a paradigm shift in regulatory toxicology, moving from animal testing to the development and implementation of human-relevant, mechanistic and non-animal testing. An area of particularly high animal utilisation is Developmental and Reproductive Toxicity (DART) and new methodologies, such as human stem cell-derived in vitro models, hold promise for more efficient and protective DART testing. The International STakeholder NETwork (ISTNET) Workshop aims at creating a DART testing roadmap for regulatory purposes through effective communication and discussion among actors from academia, regulation and industry.

The European Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals (PARC)is seeking to develop next-generation chemical risk assessment, incorporating both human health and the environment in a "One Health“ approach.

The CHIASMA Project is a major Horizon Europe research initiative focused on transforming how the safety and sustainability of chemicals and advanced materials are assessed. It develops and integrates a comprehensive set of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) into a robust, user-friendly framework for regulatory human and environmental safety evaluation.

The ONTOX Project is a collaborative Horizon Europe research initiative aimed at transforming chemical safety assessment by building a next-generation framework rooted in scientific evidence and innovative methods. ONTOX focuses on integrating New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), such as in vitro, in silico, and mechanistic approaches, with existing regulatory processes to support more human-relevant and efficient toxicological evaluation.
