Lothar Aicher is a chemistry graduate from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. He started his career in 1992 as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry working on alternative methods to animal testing in pre-clinical safety and on proteomics to identify biomarkers for drug-induced organ toxicity. In 1997 he received a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Kaiserslautern and in the same year started working as a Human Safety Assessment Manager in the chemicals industry. He became a Swiss and Eurotox Registered Toxicologist in 1999. After obtaining a MBA from the Rochester-Bern Executive MBA program in 2001, he held various positions in marketing and business development in the agrochemicals sector. Lothar joined SCAHT in April 2010.
